The Mail and Copy Center began sending emails for package notification on 7/20/2026. Our software tracks inbound packages to provide proof of delivery.
If I am notified of package delivery via email, why do I need to check my mailbox?
Mailboxes still need to be checked regularly for letters, small packages and internal college communication throughout the academic year.
Why are some packages in my locker and some are at the window for pick up?
Letters and small packages are placed in the student’s locker. Large envelopes and packages are placed in the Mail and Copy Center for pick up at the window. Emails will be sent for all packages (regardless of size) with tracking. Please check your mailbox first.
Does the Mail and Copy Center have refrigerated storage? How are perishable packages handled?
The Mail and Copy Center does not have refrigerated storage. In the event a perishable package is received, the recipient will receive an email stating a perishable package has arrived and to pick up at their earliest convenience. Please note: no grocery deliveries are accepted. Please have grocery deliveries directed to your residence.
I received an email from the sender/carrier that my package has been delivered, but I did not receive an email from the Mail and Copy Center; what do I do?
This typically means the package is still being processed at the Mail and Copy Center. We receive hundreds of packages daily, so your patience is appreciated. If you do not receive an email from our office, within 24 hours, please let us know and we can help track down the mail/package. Please have a tracking number ready.
Can I send out mail/packages from the Mail and Copy Center?
Yes. Our office is equipped to send mail/packages via USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Please note: There is a FedEx pick up fee that will be charged if the letter/package is picked up from our office or the package may be dropped off at any local FedEx drop off location.

The Mail and Copy Center charges for pickups because we are charged a pick up fee since we have no daily pickup.

When ordering with Amazon, select the delivery location titled “Amazon locker – Komodo; Kalamazoo College Hicks Center, 1200 Academy St, Kalamazoo, MI 49006”. Once the package(s) has been delivered to the locker, Amazon will send an email with a pickup code/barcode to the purchaser. Enter the pickup code or scan the barcode into the Amazon locker system. Then the assigned locker door will open. Retrieve your package(s) and close the door. The Amazon lockers will hold packages for up to 3 days. Using the Amazon locker is especially helpful for after hour or weekend deliveries.
How do I get something printed at the Mail and Copy Center?
To get something printed, please submit a copy request using the form on our website. Select “Copy Requests” at the top, then click the link for the Copy Job Request Form. Please note: Student print credits can not be used as payment for these requests.
What format is needed to submit a copy request?
Please provide copy requests in PDF format. This is most readable by our copier software.
Where can I purchase print credits at Kalamazoo College?
Print credits can be purchased at the Mail and Copy Center. Print credits are available in the following dollar amounts: $1.00, $5.00, $10.00, and $20.00.
Can I send a fax from the Mail and Copy Center?
Yes. The Mail and Copy Center can send faxes for you. Simply fill out the Fax Cover sheet (see associate for form). There is a charge for this service.

Your locker number and combination information can be found on the HornetHQ. Log in, click on the 3 menu bars, click on user options, and select my mailbox information.
How do I open my mailbox?
Instructions to open your mailbox are displayed above the mail lockers. Please attempt to open your locker before asking for assistance.
Where do I pick up E-Campus orders?
You can pick up E-Campus orders at the Spirit Shop (Bookstore). You will be notified via email when your order is available for pick up.
I had a package delivered while abroad, or I accidentally had a package sent in error to Kalamazoo College, what do I do?
The Mail and Copy Center only holds packages for up to 2 months. After the 2 months, the package(s) are returned to sender, disposed of, or donated. If you would like, we can forward the package(s) to another destination. The postage charge is your responsibility. Please email us with questions.
What happens if a package is delivered during non-business hours?
If a package is delivered during non-business hours, the carrier is instructed to contact Campus Safety. Campus Safety will then place the packages in the Mail and Copy Center, and the packages will be processed the next business day. If for some reason the packages are left outside, Campus Safety will bring the packages to the Mail and Copy Center for processing. Please use proper addressing to help ensure proper delivery to the Hicks Student Center.
A package was sent to Kalamazoo College under the wrong name/no name/parents name, how do I get the package?
If a package is sent under the wrong name/no name/parents name, the Mail and Copy Center will hold the package until the recipient claims the package or for 2 months, whichever is shorter. Recipient must provide proof of ownership.
Is there a limit on the number of packages or a size limit on the packages I receive?
The Mail and Copy Center does not have a limit on the number or size of packages. Please note that the carrier may have size or weight restrictions. Students are responsible for getting mail and packages from the Mail and Copy Center to their residence.
Can I borrow a cart or dolly to get large packages to my residence/department?
Yes. The Mail and Copy Center has 4-wheeled carts or dollies that can be borrowed. Please return these items as soon as possible. If the borrowed item is not returned or returned damaged, a fee may be charged to replace/fix the equipment.
Where can I purchase postage/stamps?
Postage/stamps can be purchased at the Mail and Copy Center window.
Is there a USPS drop box on campus?
Yes. There is a USPS drop box near the “Red Square” on campus. (Near Academy Street and Thompson Street intersection) Mail collection time is 2pm.
I am sending a student to pick up departmental mail, how does this work?
When sending a student to pick up department mail, please make sure the student is equipped with the department box key/mailbox number, and is equipped to accept all packages for corresponding department personnel. A cart or dolly may be borrowed to assist.
